Stop Motion Final Project

We got the idea of doing Pac-man for our stop motion project from researching and looking around at videos on Youtube. Through this process we found 2 interesting ones we wanted to base our video around, their links will be down below. This project was the most interesting and best learning experience in this class in my opinion, just learning the basics of stop motion and how interesting some things in this section of photography can be was so fascinating. While it was interesting it was also difficult at times just because it was a long process to take all of our shots and at times we had to stop and think what was gonna happen next in our story. While we had difficulty with the camera and keeping it straight, I believe it doesn't take away from the story and the video as a whole. Our basic edits were just cropping the photos down to 16 x 9 and changing the time of our last 10 shots from 0.1 per second to 0.3-0.4 to show the end of the story was near. Our emulation of our inspiration video is decently similar, but I believe we were at a disadvantage because with a game like Pac-man you can't really change it up that much. We just used the similar overhead view that all Pac-man uses and used similar objects to those used in their videos. Altogether, I believe we did a pretty good job with this project and we all enjoyed it.

Comercial Portraits

I took this photo of my brother with his Lacrosse stick. He's in the action of shooting, which I will use in my magazine. I increased the saturation as well as exposure to make this photo more vibrant.

This is another photo of my brother with his Lacrosse stick. I edited the exposure to this photo and lowered the saturation to effect the mood overall. I believe with less color it actually creates a brighter image and creates a better overall mood for this photo.

Project 9 (Two Portraits)

I took this photo as my brother was leaving home to go back to college. The photo to me, sends a sad and depressing mood. I attempted to show this with my edits as I eliminated certain colors and greatly lowered the saturation to make the photo seem bleak.

I took this photo on an early Sunday morning last week. My brother was home for the weekend from college and was reading the comics/newspaper when I took this photo. To enhance the photo, I edited the lighting and sharpened the photo a little bit to show the sun coming into the room, as well as to make the image more detailed. When I see this photo it sends the mood of focus and relaxation at the same time which I thought was an interesting contrast.
